Panatta lifts the lid on its next-generation Super Vertical Multi Press

The next generation of the model has seen Panatta change from its predecessor's position of use from lying down to a seated position, for greater convenience and comfort while working out.
The new equipment makes it possible to reproduce the typical thrusting movement of the upper limbs with straight or angled grip and both wide and narrow amplitude.
Compared to execution with free weights, the exercises performed at the Super Vertical Multi Press have the following advantages:
• Semicircular guided trajectory: a more natural movement for the joints and more effective for the muscles.
• Increasing resistance curve modulated by progressive lever system: At the beginning of the movement the resistance is reduced to avoid overloading the shoulder and elbow joints, but this then increases until the maximum contraction.
Again, to safeguard the joints and to make the execution as physiological as possible, the machine is equipped with a lever for facilitated initiation of movement, which allows the muscles involved to perform optimal stretching in eccentric contraction. This promotes the myotatic reflex and activation of the neuromuscular spindles that make the subsequent concentric phase of the first repetition more powerful and effective.
The Super Vertical Multi Press also features dual handles with a rotary selection system that allows a choice between:
1. Straight Bar Handle
This handle allows maximum allows users maximum freedom to grip across the bar's width – from wider than shoulder width (typical of the bench press for the chest) to hands at the same width as the shoulders for greater triceps and anterior deltoid involvement.
2. Angled Bar Handle
This handle is equipped with a rotary system for selecting the grip width, which can be:
• Narrow with smaller shoulder width, with the angle of the grips avoiding stress on the wrists and the movement occurring purely in the sagittal plane;
• Medium with the hands at the same width as the shoulders, the angle of the holds in this case causes the movement of the humerus to shift to an intermediate plane between sagittal and transverse.
