Blue Monday owners plan celebrity haunt for Ware

Owners of the Blue Monday Café Bar, Mark Holt and Stephen Fox, have bought the Club Nautica nightclub in Ware and plan to reopen it in April as a members only club following a £1m refurbishment.
The club is on the first floor of the building –which includes the Beckett’s Walk shopping Arcade beneath – and has a capacity of 440 people.
It is a split-level venue with two bars, with a chill out area at the top and the dance floor at the lower end. It was purchased for an undisclosed sum in excess of the £750,000 freehold asking price.
The owners, whose Blue Monday Café Bar was featured in the tv documentary, Essex Wives, intend the new club to offer jazz and comedy nights and hope to attract a celebrity clientele.
Christie & Co in Milton Keynes advised on the sale of the property.
