Climbing Walls and Towers
Innovative Leisure specialises in a range of climbing walls for both indoor and outdoor locations.
The range spans everything from simple bouldering and traversing walls to high level designs with automatic belay technology and interactive, educational computerised walls.
Most walls are suitable for all ages, from 5 years-old and upwards and provide a challenging, interactive and fun experience in a variety of different venues, including schools, leisure centres and gyms.
They are often used as an alternative to traditional sports to involve as wide an audience as possible, including those who may not normally participate in traditional team or ball sports.
“The children think the wall is absolutely wonderful and the benefits to them are excellent,” notes Brenda Proctor, centre manager at Astely Burf Outdoor Adventure Centre in Dudley. “They have to use different skills to other activities and gain a lot of confidence the more they use it.”
At Wennington Hall School, a special needs school near Lancaster, another wall from Innovative Leisure has also recently been installed and again, is proving extremely popular.
“The children are all into extreme sports so the climbing wall taps into that way of thinking,” says teacher Carl Lowther. “Also, some pupils don’t want to take part in other sports but will try the wall. It’s going down very well with both the children and the staff.”
Innovative Leisure carries out all aspects of an installation, including certification and staff training.
As well as the walls and towers, other alternative climbing attractions on offer include modular climbing panels, DigiWall, a computer based climbing wall, a motorised wall and the Coconut Tree Climb.
