ESPA launches at Acqualina Resort
An ESPA spa has opened as part of the Acqualina Resort in Miami, Florida, US.
The new spa covers 20,000sq ft (1,860sq m) across two floors and has been designed to take full advantage of the hotel’s oceanfront location.
It offers 11 treatment rooms, a whirlpool and a swimming pool, plus various other heat, water and relaxation spaces.
Acqualina is located in Sunny Isles Beach and is a Mediterranean-style resort which features private residences as well as hotel rooms.
The Miami spa is part of an ongoing international expansion of ESPA which this year alone will see new sites open in territories including Asia Pacific and Europe. These include spas in Tokyo, Moscow, Ireland, Hong Kong and Sanya, China, and collaborations with hotel groups including Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and Peninsula.
CEO and founder of ESPA, Susan Harmsworth, said: “We have chosen not to re-create ourselves for the sake of re-creation or marketing. We feel that spas often try too hard to be something they are not, or all things to all people.
“An ESPA spa will have a distinguished and familiar feel to it, with seamless customer journeys, experiences and advanced holistic treatments that really work. The design will differ in each location and the treatment menu will be handpicked to suit its audience.”
