“Exciting” future for Terres d’Afrique in the Middle East after deal with The Product House
Spa provider The Product House has become the exclusive distributor for Terres d'Afrique in the Middle East. The collaboration was made official in late January, and covers the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Interest from major partners in the region has so far been “overwhelming”, according to The Product House owner Janette Watts. “Our properties are drawn to the fundamental ingredients borne from its African heritage, the quality, unique and eclectic elements integrated into the range, particularly the tools to improve the methods of application including wood and precious stones,” she said.
Watts’ company has been expanding its portfolio, but only considers brands that complement the existing portfolio and “those which will be ambassadors in terms of development and trends in the region and worldwide”.
Offering sustainably developed, organic skincare that harnesses Africa’s botanical heritage, Terres d’Afrique was a good fit as the company is “passionate” about the environment in which the products are sourced. “To know and understand the impact and origin of where and what the African plant kingdom can offer is paramount to them,” said Watts.
The Product House is currently in talks with a number of hotels in the Middle East to roll out the Terres d’Afrique products, with Watts predicting a “very exciting” future for the brand in the region.
The collaboration has also already extended beyond the Middle East – The Product House recommended Terres d’Afrique to Avani for its Pemba property in Mozambique, Africa, and the brand has now been launched there.
