Fitness 4 Less to expand portfolio
Budget health club operator Fitness 4 Less has appointed leisure property specialists Christie + Co to oversee a major acquisition and development programme across the UK.
Bristol-based Fitness 4 Less launched its first site in September 2007 and is currently preparing to open two more sites.
A Fitness 4 Less club will open in Birmingham on 18 January and another in Cambridge Heath, London, is set to launch by the end of March 2010.
Fitness4Less has tasked Christie + Co to find suitable locations on medium-term leases to meet its growth targets.
According to a spokesperson, the company is hoping to open clubs in major cities across the UK, including Birmingham, Brighton and Cardiff.
Emma Edwards, marketing director of Fitness4Less, said: "We have studied the low cost model of other service providers across the UK and Europe and believe Fitness4less offers our customers a great facility at a low cost.
"We feel able to compete with existing health clubs and other low cost gyms. The traditional off peak time zone in particular is where we see a whole new audience of potential members, many of whom may never have been a member of a health club before."
Fitness 4 Less offers monthly memberships at £14.99 while annual memberships range from £99 to £150.
