Bournemouth Beach to host fitness lifestyle show
A new national fitness lifestyle event - FitLiving UK - will hit Bournemouth Beach and the town's international centre, with more than 50 classes, speakers and an expo.
A programme of sport and fitness at the inaugural fitness weekender in September will include sunrise yoga, boxing, Les Mills classes, live Zumba, tough functional fitness, sunset pilates, stand up paddleboarding, beach runs, family fitness, mini football and gymnastics for children.
Bournemouth Beach will house FitLiving UK’s main stage with fitness displays, a holistic and wellbeing tent offering free massages, a yoga tent and tough fitness stage, as well as healthy street food.
The expo will host nutritional and shopping villages, with health and fitness professionals on hand to speak to visitors. Bournemouth International Centre will also have speaker and blogger stages, and a family zone.
FitLiving UK, owned and run by PR and marketing communications company Lineup Media, has teamed up with BH Live to create the show.
Mike Lyons, BH Live’s director of sport and leisure, said: “We are thrilled to be part of FitLiving UK’s ambition to promote Bournemouth as a top wellness destination. This unique event will shine the spotlight on the region’s outstanding and thriving health and wellbeing activities and facilities, promoting them to a UK-wide audience of beginners, families and pros. Looking forward to it.”
Gemma Harris, Lineup Media managing director, said: “We wanted to create a show that would be completely interactive as well as demystifying the idea of a healthy lifestyle for people who might be scared to take the leap into fitness and nutrition.”
The event takes place on September 9 and 10.
