The Urban Healing company is to organise a 12-day retreat in November for professional training in authentic Lomi Lomi massage.
Taking place in Thailand and primarily aimed at trainers and therapists in the Asia-Pacific region, the course will be held at the Momchailai Forest Retreat within the Sai Yok National Park in Kanchanaburi, around a three hour drive north west from Bangkok.
The retreat provides an introduction to all aspects of the Hawaiian culture and its principles through a range of activities including hula dance, breathing exercises, music and chanting. Participants will learn the massage’s required strokes, body mechanics and procedures.
Course graduates will gain certification from the Maui Academy of the Healing Arts. Details: urbanhealing.net
