Ojmar introduces battery-free electronic locker to cut carbon footprints in health clubs and spas
Smart lock manufacturer Ojmar has released the OTS20 Batteryless – the first battery-free electronic locker lock on the market. The smart lock is powered by Ojmar's patented 'Push Power' technology, which harnesses the energy created by a simple push of the nozzle.
The OTS20 Batteryless has been designed for sustainability, with every component being 100 per cent recyclable. The lack of a battery means waste is reduced significantly. This contributes to a cleaner environment and helps clubs and spas to advance their carbon footprint reduction goals.
Aitor Elorza, Ojmar sales and marketing director, said: "This signifies a revolutionary step towards sustainability and innovation in the fitness and wellness industry. This unique locking system, free from batteries, wires and maintenance, not only simplifies operations but also fosters eco-friendly practices by reducing electronic waste and energy consumption.
"Thanks to our patented 'Push Power' technology, the need for battery replacements is a thing of the past, allowing organisations to significantly lower their carbon footprint. It’s a game changer, transforming clubs and spas into greener, more sustainable spaces while enhancing the user experience."
Ojmar says the batteryless lock is easy to install and features a user-friendly interface. It aims to simplify the workload of facility managers, as it requires no maintenance.
