Spanish government to part-privatise assets
Spain's state lottery and airport authority are to be part-privatised in a bid to improve public finances, according to the country's government.
Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero confirmed the plans as part of a wider raft of measures designed to improve the Spanish economy. Nearly a third of the Sociedad Estatal de Loterías y Apuestas del Estato - the state lottery company - will be sold off, along with 49 per cent of the airport authority.
