World's steepest roller coaster to open in Japan
The Fuji-Q Highland theme park in Fujiyoshida, on the island of Honshu in Japan, will tomorrow (16 July) open the world's steepest roller coaster.
The Takabisha ride boasts a "beyond vertical" 121 degree drop, is 43m tall at its highes point and reaches speeds of up to 60mph (100kmh)
The steel ride was manufactured by German firm Gerstlauer and is based on the company's Euro-Fighter model.
