The accreditation, valid for two years and exclusive to international Learn to Swim providers, will see Cognita Enrich Me hold the esteemed quality mark until 2026, marking a significant milestone in their commitment to swimming education and aquatic excellence.
Swim England’s "Provider of Excellence" status is a testament to Cognita Enrich Me’s exemplary governance, sustainability, and effectiveness in delivering Swim England’s Learn to Swim programme.
The accreditation not only enhances the profile of their Learn to Swim offering internationally by associating with England’s National Governing Body for aquatics, but also provides parents and learners with a trusted symbol of quality in swimming education.
Currently, Cognita Enrich Me teams operate internationally six independent, schools supporting curriculum and extra-curriculum lessons. Their teachers lead inclusive, fun and adaptive swimming catering for five years olds through to coaching and performance programmes.
William Ing, Head of Operations at Cognita Enrich Me, expressed his pride in the achievement, saying: “We are incredibly proud to be the first international organisation to attain Swim England’s Provider of Excellence status. This honour reflects the hard work and dedication of our fantastic team members across the Middle East.
William added, “Independent verification through the Swim England accreditation underscores the quality of our swim programmes. This achievement is a crucial element in maintaining the high standards we set for our swim lessons, ensuring every student receives the best possible aquatic education.”
The rigorous assessment for the Learn to Swim Accreditation is administered via Swim England’s Learn to Swim Team, the industry-leading technical experts.
This comprehensive evaluation includes a mixture of face-to-face, desktop analysis and teacher observations. The accreditation process includes various business and governance areas, including:
• Business development processes
• Workforce development
• Health and safety, quality assurance and compliance
• Safeguarding and Welfare
• Programme delivery, targets, and operating standards
• Class structures and programmes
• Swimmer pathways
• Marketing and communications
Sam Helliwell, Technical Aquatic Manager at Swim England, praised Cognita Enrich ME’s achievement. “The Swim England Learn to Swim provider of excellence elevates the profile of Cognita Enrich ME’s programme internationally but also acknowledges the excellence in governance, delivery, and effectiveness,” he said.
“It has been great to see their commitment to aquatic education and their standard of excellence recognised on an international level. It’s been fantastic to collaborate with their workforce to support the achievement of this standard and work both online and face-to-face delivering training and guidance. The Learn to Swim team are looking forward to the continuing partnership.”
Alex Barrett, Senior Technical Aquatics at Swim England added: “Collaborating with partners internationally provides a fantastic platform for learning and listening to support innovation and growth in learn to swim practices.
“This achievement is a testament to Cognita Enrich ME’s unwavering dedication to delivering top-quality swimming education. Their commitment to meeting and exceeding rigorous standards across their international sites is commendable.”
With this milestone, Cognita Enrich ME sets a new benchmark for international swimming education, showcasing the universal value of excellence in governance, sustainability, and effectiveness.
