Harrogate club chooses Technogym for refit
The Academy Health Club in Harrogate is to install Technogym’s Artis line of fully integrated cardio, strength and functional equipment as part of its gym refurbishment project.
This will include the new Omnia functional training solution for small group training. Technogym says Omnia provides an open and modular layout which allows for maximum versatility and interaction in personal or group training sessions.
The Artis range also comes equipped with the open platform, Android 4-based Unity cardio interface, which gives users the ability to create a personalised platform of training programmes, data, web bookmarks, content and social networks, while allowing operators to customise their members’ experience via Android-compatible apps on the Technogym App Store.
Philippa Shackleton, managing director at The Academy Health Club, said the Artis range was selected as it offered “the most connected and well-rounded fitness experience today”.
Refurbishment work at the gym will begin on 15 August, and it is scheduled to reopen on 1 September.
With over 2,000 employees across 14 branches, Technogym is present in over 100 countries. More than 65,000 wellness centres are equipped with Technogym and 35 million users train every day on Technogym equipment. Technogym was the official supplier for the past seven Olympic Games, from Sydney 2000 to PyeongChang 2018.
