Integration with Apple HealthKit, Garmin devices announced by Technogym
Technogym has announced a new integration with Apple's ‘HealthKit’ platform, while two Garmin devices are now compatible with the company’s ‘Mywellness Lifestyle CRM’.
The collaboration with Apple enables iPhone users to integrate all data collected through HealthKit into the Mywellness open platform, which is designed to allow health enthusiasts and operators to see all of the fitness information tracked by their third party fitness apps and devices in one location.
To access the integrated data, users must download the Mywellness app from the Apple Store.
Meanwhile, Garmin’s ‘Vívofit’ and ‘Forerunner 15’ fitness tracking devices are also now integrated with the Mywellness Lifestyle CRM. The former is a wellness device that is capable of tracking daily movement. The latter is a running and fitness device that tracks start time and duration of a session, average and maximum speed/pace, distance, maximum heart rate, calories and fat burn, route view on a map as well as daily movement.
Both moves were announced at IHRSA 2015, taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the US between 11-14 March.
With over 2,000 employees across 14 branches, Technogym is present in over 100 countries. More than 65,000 wellness centres are equipped with Technogym and 35 million users train every day on Technogym equipment.
