LIW launch for Life Fitness Summit Trainer
Leisure Industry Week saw the launch by Life Fitness of the Summit Trainer, an addition to the company's cv range said to combine the best of total body cross-training and climbing with an upper and lower body workout that simulates a trek in the mountains.
From short, quick strides to deep lunges, the Summit Trainer has a maximum stride length of 26in and offers an extensive range of motion. Users can exercise in a variety of different positions to target different muscle groups and achieve a wide range of training intensities. The machine's moving arms also provide a synchronised total-body workout.
Lifepulse digital heart rate monitoring hand sensors are located on the machine's bullhorns to deliver precise heart rate monitoring, and Polar telemetry provides accurate hands-free heart rate monitoring.
Among the product's 20 exercise programmes are four goal-based workouts and five Zone Training+ workouts, which automatically adjust the Summit Trainer's resistance to keep users in their target heart rate zones.
Club staff can also create and store six custom workouts to meet specific user needs.
The Summit Trainer is available in two models: the Summit Trainer 95Li and the Summit Trainer 95Le. For personal entertainment, Life Fitness offers a variety of optional LCD entertainment solutions that can be added to the 95Li; the 95Le comes standard with Life Fitness' E3 Integrated LCD System with Touch Screen Technology.
