Life Fitness premium equipment selected for University of Nottingham’s new £40m David Ross Sports Village
The on-going partnership between Life Fitness and the University of Nottingham has continued with the installation of premium training facilities at the new £40m David Ross Sports Village, which opens in September 2016.
This follows the successful gym installation at the University’s Jubilee Campus and the creation of a new 1.7mile outdoor Active Trail at the University’s Park Campus, the largest worldwide install of its kind to date.
The new complex, as well as being a community hub, will provide the University’s elite athletes, sports teams and clubs with an extensive choice of innovative new facilities in a stimulating and inclusive environment.
Marcus Spain, assistant director of sport, University of Nottingham, explains: “The David Ross Sports Village will create a truly inspirational environment for our students and customers.
"The Life Fitness team worked hard to create an exciting offer which delivers high quality equipment with cutting edge technology that is both simple and intuitive for users.”
The sports centre features an impressive strength and conditioning suite on the ground floor, featuring Signature Series and Hammer Strength equipment in addition to a six lane, 80m sprint track.
On the second floor, an extensive 240 station fitness suite has been installed, offering the full range of Life Fitness cardio equipment as well as Cybex SPARC trainers and SCIFIT inclusive fitness products to engage and entertain exercisers.
